Chess Wrapped: Your Year in Chess
Free tool · No account neededEnter a Chess.com or Lichess username and get your year in numbers. Runs in your browser. Games come straight from Chess.com or Lichess.
Chess Wrapped reads a player's games for the year from the Chess.com or Lichess public archive and turns them into a year in review: how many games, the win rate, how the rating moved in each time control, the openings played most, the best win, the longest winning streak and the busiest month. It works for any public username, yours or a friend's, and ends with a card you can download or share.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Chess Wrapped free, and do I need an account?
- It is free and needs no account, here or on the chess site. It reads the public game archive, so it works for any public username.
- Is this made by Chess.com or Lichess?
- No. It is an independent tool that reads the public APIs both sites provide, and it is not affiliated with either.
- Is my data stored anywhere?
- No. Your browser fetches the games from Chess.com or Lichess and works out the numbers itself. ScanChess never receives the games or the username.
- Why are some games missing?
- The archives only include finished games; aborted games are left out. Lichess sends games at about 20 a second, so an account with thousands of games in a year takes several minutes. The progress bar shows roughly how many games to expect and how long is left, and you can show the results so far at any time; those are marked as partial.
- Can I see a previous year?
- Yes. Choose the year before building it. The current year covers the games played so far.
- What about my over-the-board games?
- Tournament games played on paper are not in any online archive. Scan the scoresheets with ScanChess and they become PGN files you can analyze and keep.
Your over-the-board games count too
Tournament games on paper are in no online archive. Scan the scoresheets and they become PGN you can analyze and keep.
